Approximately 3,000 individuals participated in the ‘Marea Rosa’ (Pink Tide) charity race organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) on Sunday, 19 November. Each participant contributed 10 euros to join the event, which commenced at 11.15am on Avenida del Mar with a training session led by ‘ClanFit’.
After a warm-up session, the participants embarked on a walk along the Paseo Marítimo (promenade), concluding at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos Adolfo. The event concluded with a celebration featuring children’s games, face painting, and other activities.
Marbella’s mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, expressed her satisfaction with the public’s continued support for an organization that has been assisting patients and their families for over 35 years. She emphasized that this initiative underscores the significance of sports and the necessity of maintaining a positive mindset when battling the disease.
The primary goal of the fundraiser and the visibility of the pink T-shirts was to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer prevention and early detection.
