Marbella is set to welcome a new Rafa Nadal Tennis Center, situated at the Hotel Don Carlos. The hotel is due to reopen this summer following a refurbishment. This initiative is a part of the expansion project initiated by the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in 2018. A similar facility may also be established in Malaga at the Inaqua sports complex.

Facilities and Features of the New Tennis Center

The new Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Marbella will feature seven clay courts, accessible to players of all ages and skill levels. The goal is to provide top-notch tennis training and personalized programs to all guests. The facility will also include two padel courts with a sea view and a Nike and Babolat shop. Visitors will have the opportunity to view a small exhibition displaying some of Rafa Nadal’s career trophies.

Rafa Nadal expressed his excitement about the official announcement of the new Tennis Center in Marbella, stating that it strengthens their expansion project within Spain. Potential Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Malaga

The possibility of a Rafa Nadal Tennis Center opening in Malaga city is dependent on the awarding of the contract for the project. The city council will draft this once Ferrovial, which was awarded the 20-year contract to run the Inacua Centro de Raqueta, has withdrawn. The bid comes from the Marbella developer Sierra Blanca.

Rafa Nadal Tennis Centers were established as a supplementary initiative to the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in its main center – Mallorca. These tennis complexes are situated in high-class holiday resorts in top national and international destinations. The Hotel Don Carlos facility will be the fourth Rafa Nadal Tennis Center. The previous three are located in Costa Mujeres (Mexico), Sani (Greece), and Hong Kong.
