Ralli Museum Marbella Celebrates 25 Years of Artistic Excellence
The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for the Ralli Museum Marbella as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. The museum, which is part of the Ralli Museums group, owes its existence to the art-collecting passion of Harry Recanati. His private collection of Latin American art and European masterpieces was generously donated to the public, leading to the creation of this cultural space in 2000.
A Journey of Growth and Recognition
Reflecting on the museum’s journey over the past 25 years, the museum’s director, Rosa Ruiz, expressed gratitude for the affection and recognition received. She emphasized the museum’s commitment to continue improving and working towards the mission set by the founders of the Ralli Museums – to promote Latin American art beyond its borders.
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary with the ‘(i)realidades’ Project
To commemorate its 25th anniversary, the Ralli Museum Marbella has launched the ‘(i)realidades’ project. This project will span over the next two years and will feature a series of cultural initiatives. The first of these is the exhibition Memories of the land. Leónidas Gambartes (2025), followed by a collaborative exhibition resulting from workshops held throughout the year.
The Inauguration of the ‘(i)realidades’ Project
The ‘(i)realidades’ project was inaugurated on 15 February at the Ralli Museum Marbella with the unveiling of the exhibition by Argentine artist Leónidas Gambartes. The event also featured an interpretive dance performance Gualicho, which allowed attendees to interact with the exhibition through digital devices.
The Exhibition Memories of the land. Leónidas Gambartes
The exhibition Memories of the land. Leónidas Gambartes is part of the educational curatorial project ‘(i)realidades’. The project invites reflection on themes such as memory, identity, territory, and rituality. The exhibition features interactive mediation devices that allow visitors to engage with the exhibition and its themes in various ways.
The Role of AI in the ‘(i)realidades’ Project
The ‘(i)realidades’ project explores the artistic possibilities of AI (artificial intelligence). A significant part of the interaction with the project will be digital, with a dedicated website that will be updated in parallel with the project’s development.
The Educational Proposal of the ‘(i)realidades’ Project
The project also includes an educational proposal focused on activating thought models based on emotions. This will be achieved through embodied practices, artistic creation processes, and shared learning. With the ‘(i)realidades’ project, the Ralli Museum Marbella continues to demonstrate its commitment to exploring new forms of artistic expression and its intersection with technology.
