Marbella Town Hall Announces 19 New Local Police Vacancies

Marbella Town Hall has declared 19 new job openings for the Local Police. In a unique twist, one of these positions is specifically reserved for professional military personnel. This new approach is being adopted by Marbella following the successful implementation of a similar initiative within the National Police.

Professional Military Personnel Welcomed to Apply

The municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, stated that the town hall believes it’s beneficial to have personnel with specific training from the ministry of defence. This move opens the door for army professionals to apply for these public service exams, where they will now have a designated quota.

Marbella Strengthens Local Police Force

With the announcement of these 19 new positions, Marbella continues to bolster its Local Police. The guidelines and procedures for filling these vacancies were approved in the most recent council meeting. Romero emphasized the corporation’s commitment to maintaining a steady growth rate of the workforce, ensuring that there are sufficient resources and reserves when officers retire.

Job Offer Includes Horizontal Mobility Posts

Romero also mentioned that the job offer will include three horizontal mobility posts through a merit-based competition system for staff from other administrations. A plan has been established, which includes annual calls for new positions, to maintain the workforce at the same number of personnel after retirements.

Council Approves More Than 120 Responsible Declarations, Licences and Decrees

In addition to the new police positions, the council has approved more than 120 responsible declarations, licences and decrees, representing an investment of over 5 million euros. Romero highlighted that these indicators demonstrate the town’s growth and the continued commitment of Marbella Town Hall to support it.
