Due to the high demand for participation, the number of players has been increased for this year’s tournament, organized by local professional player, José Bernal.

The tournament sees illustrious former footballers swapping their football boots and balls for padel rackets and balls. The announcement was made by local professional player, José Bernal, and former AS Monaco player, Alejandro Alonso, at the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, one of the tournament’s sponsors.
Marbella to Host Football Stars in June
Marbella will host a star-studded lineup on June 3rd, 4th, and 5th, featuring world-renowned football stars such as Joaquín, Fernando Llorente, Iván Campo, Pantic, Fernando Sanz, Alfonso Pérez, Rubén de la Red, Luque, Alejandro Alonso, Xabi Prieto, and Roberto Soldado, among others. All of them will compete in padel to determine the best pair in a tournament that has had to expand its player roster due to high demand.
World Padel Soccer Tournament Schedule
The sporting event will kick off on June 3rd with a Pro-Am, followed by the competition’s group stage on June 4th. The championship will conclude with the final stage on June 5th. José Bernal highlighted the importance of this event for the city, both in terms of sports and tourism, and its international impact thanks to the media prominence of the players.
